Morning Pages

A houseboat, some old hotels, magazines, Wes Anderson, UFO abductions

Morning Pages

Welcome to February.

If you're looking to make some changes to your life (I have no idea why February would prompt that, but you do you) then how about packing everything up and moving to this amazing house boat on the Regent's Canal?

More my speed, I think, are these Guilded Age hotels on Lake Superior.

If these are up your street then you may also appreciate this list of creative magazines that "everyone" should apparently have on their coffee table. I got a bunch of magazine subscriptions a few years back and have gradually cancelled most of them as I realised all I was building was a pile of unopened packages in the corner of my study.

Still on the creative side of things, this is an interview with Marie Boulanger of Monotype, about the use of typography in Wes Anderson's "The French Dispatch".

Lastly, in my sweet spot; creativity meets spooky in "Chance Encounters in the Valley of Lights", a new book on paranormal activity in the town of Todmorden in West Yorkshire.

Have a good one.
