Julian Simpson

I've worked as a writer and/or director on Doctor Who, Spooks, Hustle, Hotel Babylon, the Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Murder Prevention and New Tricks. I have also written films that didn't get made for all the major studios, as well as films that didn't get made for several British companies (the former paid better).

At a certain point I also started making audio fiction for BBC Radio 4, which gradually morphed into the Pleasant Green Universe, which in turn spawned the Mythos and Lovecraft Investigations series. That universe has now gone independent, under the Pure Hokum banner, and has a fan base large enough to overthrow a medium-sized government.

Cartoon Gravity is where I think out loud about writing, directing, building things independently, and whatever else I fancy thinking out loud about on any given day.
