Cal Newport has just launched his Masterclass, and it prompted him to write this piece on the qualitative difference between professional productions and YouTube videos. He also talks about "micro streamers", which is a really interesting concept.

This morning I am noodling with the idea of a stage version of my radio play "Bad Memories". I have very little experience of making theatre, but I can see how this would work and I like the idea of using sound and darkness as key elements of a theatrical experience.

This train of thought always loops back to whether Lovecraft Investigations would work as a live experience. I don't usually love it when podcasts break out of the audio medium, but I can see some virtue in doing something like this. Where you do it, and how you wrangle the availability of busy actors, seem to be the main limiting factors.

This is a fascinating piece on the dreams of bumblebees.
