Just random blurbings.

I'm just going to keep blarting out these posts. Don't be alarmed if they're not fully formed, interesting or informative.

Saw this picture on Twitter and it has opened up a world of story possibilities (yes, I know there’s already a show about an oil rig, don’t be so literal!)

Working on Cartoon Gravity 19 and on the new instalment of the Development Hell Writing Course, which is going to be about organising notes.

Have been investigating Anytype, which I suspect will become a Notion-killer by the middle of the year. It’s really amazing and the architecture feels revolutionary. But it’s still at Alpha stage and not quite solid enough to be reliable yet.

A great post from G.R.R Martin on the abomination of mini-rooms on TV.

I seem to have spent much of the past week or so fiddling with apps; rebuilding Notion, experimenting with Anytype and Tana, abandoning and then re-adopting Obsidian. It's so easy to fall down this rabbit-hole in search of better processes (or in search of something to do that isn't writing).

As of today, I'm back with Obsidian as my notebook, and the place I mostly write these posts, and I'm in Notion for all organisational stuff. I'm not sure the one-app-to-rule-them-all thing will ever really work for me.
